The Golden mile is a name given to a stretch of the Belgrave Road in Leicester. The origin of the name is often, mistakenly attributed to the many shops selling gold jeweler. This area of the city is also famous for its seasonal lights which combine to celebrate winter festivals including Diwali and Christmas. The Diwali celebrations in Leicester are focused on this area and are the largest outside India.

My Thoughts And Feelings About Melton Road: In my head, Melton Road for me is a way to represent India culture in a more British approach and to show that India is filled with colour and to display the differences between Britain and India. To be honest I haven't really been used to Melton road because I never used to live in this type of society . I had to move house and I was welcomed into Rushey Mead and there was a complete difference to where I used to live and now.
